Before you upload
You need the right to have the paper adapted. Most authors assign copyright to their publisher, so check your publishing agreement, or use an open-access version under a licence that allows adaptations, such as CC BY.
Papers under embargo, or not yet published, are fine: flag them when you upload, and nothing from them is shared or published. Read the FAQ.
